** Although our group is composed primarily of Portland State University students and the majority of our meetings will take place in or around campus we are in no way affiliated with said university.**
GMB Portlands' operations/brigades have been put on hold until further notice.

The Portland chapter has been sending volunteers into Honduras since 2008. The group has gone through several name changes and as of lately has finally settled on calling itself GMB-Portland. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to team up with local Portland Pre-health societies, and other GB groups in an effort to deliver the maximum amount of aid/support to the rural Honduran communities as possible. While teamed up with the EVMS (Eastern Virginia Medical School) GMB group we were able to assist with 2,022 patients (plus of minus a few)!

Our Mission Statement:

Our mission is to not only assist the impoverished people of rural Central America medically (by providing medical consultations and basic pharmaceuticals) but also to help expose many up and coming future leaders to the atrocities brought merely due to having the misfortune of being born in a country of low socio-economic standings.
